IMG Arena Partnering with SG Digital

IMG Arena is considered as one of the world leaders in providing sports betting content and services. They have recently signed a deal with SG Digital which would cover a multitude of games, to offer fans and punters with comprehensive and up to the moment data, as it happens. Although this is a multi-sport deal their initial focus will be on golf. SG Digital is the online division of Scientific Games, and through their OpenSports platform, they will now be the first partner in providing a platform for the IMG Arena Golf Centre from January next year onwards.

The IMG Arena Golf Event Centre

The centre will be a state-of-the-art facility where both fans and punters will receive complete data as it happens. The centre will allow interaction with the sport from both a betting and a spectator perspective. Interactive visualizations of the various courses as well as live streaming will be available on both the European Tour as well as the PGA Tour. The entire operation has been created to set a new benchmark within the sports betting industry.

Not only will this venture open new markets to punters, but also will they be able to have access to in-play wagering indeed. According to the senior VP of Sportsbook for SG Digital, Keith O’Loughlin, sports betting on golf has now the ability to reach new dimensions through the IMG Arena. He mentioned that fans and punters would be able to immerse themselves in the play as it happens entirely and through this complete engagement, they are hoping to increase the live betting industry as a whole for the sport of golf.

This addition to their OpenSports platform is improving the punters’ experience through delivering outstanding content, which they hope will entice more sports bets to be placed. This collaboration is about to bring a game-changer within the world of sports betting. Senior vice president of IMG Arena, Freddie Longe, stated that through the partnership, their official content would be available on OpenSports.

OpenSports will hence form the ecosystem within which the customers from sportsbooks based in the United States, the European market and the United Kingdom will have access to their complete range of products in a seamless delivery. He further stated that they are convinced that they will be adding a new dimension to the global environment within which sports betting take place, with these features, which allows viewer interaction.

The deal with SG Digital followed after IMG Arena recently expanded their partnership with the PGA tour regarding the delivery of scoring data. This expansion included the distribution of PGA Tour data to operators in both the media and the betting industry which are based in North America. With this agreement, they will now be able to provide a wide range of live streaming services as well as other official data to their customers.
