Table Tennis Added to SportRadar
Online Sportsbooks have worked towards obtaining new products during the novel coronavirus pandemic, hoping to entice their punters into new forms of sports betting. This hasn’t been challenging to accomplish, with most bettors desiring weekly instalments of sporting tournaments. SportRadar has answered the call by partnering with BetInvest, who’s permitted this sportsbook to showcase sports coverage of Tabletop Tennis. This announcement comes weeks before the Inaugural Win Cup Competition is slated to begin. The social distancing measures surrounding Tabletop Tennis has permitted this tournament to remain active during the virus.
SportRadar and BetInvest made this agreement in late April, not making the information public until May. After May 15th there’ll be continuous coverage of table tennis, with 300+ professional players confirmed in these weekly competitions. Tournaments will sustain themselves for several days, with SportRadar confirming a maximum of 100 matches will be shown daily. Players will respectively have an influx of betting opportunities by next week, with this being the 1st time since lockdown measures went into effect that SportRadar has 24/7 coverage.
The Chief Operating Officer with BetInvest remarked that this partnership couldn’t have come at a better time. It’ll allow a leading distributor of sports betting content to give their customers more reliable services. Instead of speaking about the associated benefits for BetInvest, this COO noted how it’d improve the quality before SportRadar during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their quality depleted drastically when the FIA, Premier League, NBA, MLS, MLB, NHL, and multiple other sporting associations were informed to shut down. These respective sports betting products aren’t slated to return until early or late summer.
New Products, Delayed Responses.
SportRadar clarified that their strategy since entering the COVID-19 market space has been increasing their portfolio with new products. It’s prompted multiple new betting services to be unveiled, with most not performing to expected valuations. Because of the 24/7 coverage associated with Tabletop Tennis, SportRadar believes that higher growth will be seen with this product. Public statistics and technical data will be released to analytic firms, allowing other sportsbooks to determine if this product is best for them. This is a requirement in the partnership with BetInvest, allowing their brand to grow.
